 Odessa
is a small, quaint city located on the northwestern shore
of the Black Sea. Famous for its diverse culture, superb
architecture, and, most of all, ingenuity of its inhabitants,
the
city has long been considered the art capital of the former
Soviet Union.
It was in the middle of 1980’s, when Anya (Russian
diminutive for Anna), like many young Odessans enthralled
by the city’s artistic vibe, decided to follow the
footsteps of Pushkin and Akhmatova, Kandinsky and Aivazovsky.
It had not been until several years later, however, when
Anya’s extraordinary talents were discovered by her
family and she was accepted into the renowned Grekov Art
School. Subsequently, under the close guidance of Anya’s
mentor and long time family friend Nina Fedorova, Anya
was able to fully realize herself as an
artist.
Anya currently resides in beautiful San Diego, California,
which picturesque landscapes and vibrant culture are reflected
